Respecting everyone and everything on the tennis court "is the minimum code of conduct for players and what the audience should do.


Being a tennis fan is not difficult, but being a qualified tennis spectator is not easy. Not only do you need to be familiar with complex tennis rules, but you also need to understand some established conventions on the stands.


1. Backpacks must be screened upon entry, and luggage cannot be brought into the area, especially large items. In large tennis open tournaments, backpack spectators must pass through the security gate before entering to ensure that there are no dangerous items in their bags.


2. For the safety of players and spectators, glass bottles and cans of beverages are not allowed to be brought into the field, and only soft packaged beverages are allowed to enter the stadium during matches. Any supplies that can be used as weapons will be confiscated.


3. Some electronic communication devices, including televisions, radios, computers, etc., cannot be brought into the venue. The noise from televisions and radios can affect the performance of the contestants. Additionally, infants cannot be brought into the venue because their voices cannot be controlled. In short, when entering the venue, it is necessary to try to follow the regulations and not bring any illegal items, which not only saves unnecessary trouble but also saves time for oneself.


4. You should take your seat immediately at the beginning of the competition.

(1) In tennis matches, players from both sides need to switch sides and take a short rest in odd numbered innings. However, after the first inning, players only switch sides and cannot sit down to rest. Therefore, outdoor spectators are generally not allowed to enter at this time. After the end of odd numbered games or sets such as 3, 5, and 7, the audience needs to be seated as soon as possible with the help of the guide. If you still cannot find your position at the beginning of the game, you should sit down on the spot and look for it the next time a player switches sides. During the competition, one should not stand up and walk back and forth.

(2) When watching the ball in a stadium with an audience stand, it is important to sit in your own position before the start of the game, and do not stop in the hallway or sit on the railing to watch the ball. When watching the ball on a field without a spectator stand, it is important to watch outside the court screen and never enter the field to watch the ball.

(3) If there are several courts playing at the same time, when you think of watching the ball on other courts, you must walk through the inconspicuous area behind the blocking net after the end of one point of the game on this court, and do not affect the game on any one court.


5. At the beginning of the competition, it is important to maintain absolute silence, avoid eating, chatting with each other, making noise, and not making noise that affects athletes or other spectators. Please make sure to turn off your phone or set it to vibrate or mute mode.


6. After the game starts, be careful when cheering and applauding. Only when the one point game is truly over can you start cheering and cheering.


7. During the game, there shall be no form of conversation with the referee or players, including inquiring about the score, disagreeing with the decision, or cheering the players in person.


8. When you pick up a player's flying ball, it must be thrown into the field after each point of the game. Do not throw the ball into the field during the game and interfere with the game.


9. If you are interested in filming a competition, be sure not to use flash.


10. Smoking is prohibited on the field.
