The entire match was exceptionally close, with both players demonstrating strong serve dominance in the first two sets. Ultimately, Yusuke Takahashi, relying on a more stable performance in the deciding set, secured a 2-1 victory and progressed to the next round with difficulty.

  In the qualifying round, Japanese player Yusuke KUSUHARA faced Australian player Matthew DELLAVEDOVA. In the first set, DELLAVEDOVA, the ninth seed of the tournament, was in a strong form, hitting an ACE ball in the third game to establish a 3-0 lead and maintaining the momentum to win the first set 6-0. In the second set, DELLAVEDOVA continued to control the pace, performing stably on his own serve. Although Yusuke KUSUHARA won three games in the set, he failed to make an effective comeback, and DELLAVEDOVA took the next game 6-3 to win the match with a total score of 2-0.

  In this qualifying match, Chinese wild card entrant Tian Yuxiang challenged the tournament's seventh seed, Japanese player Yuta SHIMZU, but ultimately lost 0-2 (0-6, 1-6) to his opponent. Tian Yuxiang took the lead in the first set, but fell into a passive position due to too many out-of-bounds shots. Yuta SHIMZU seized the opportunity and won six consecutive games to secure the first set. In the second set, the first game ended in a 30-30 tie, but Tian Yuxiang failed to maintain his competitive form. Yuta SHIMZU eventually sealed the victory with a 6-1 score and successfully secured a spot in the next round.

  In the qualifying round, Daniel Masur, the sixth seed of this tournament and a German player, faced Sun Zhengyu, a Chinese player who played with a wild card. In the first set, Masur quickly got into the groove, broke several times, controlled the pace of the game, and took the first set with a score of 6-2. In the second set, Masur continued to maintain his advantage, exerting pressure and gradually widening the gap. Although Sun Zhengyu made active adjustments, he failed to mount an effective counterattack. Ultimately, Masur won the second set with a score of 6-0, securing a strong victory in straight sets.
